Hexagonal Tile Floor Bathroom Remodel, Champaign

An awkwardly-placed window had to be designed around in this Champaign bathroom remodel. If the shower door had extended all the way to the wall, it would have come to the middle of the window. In order to keep the natural light, the window was replaced with a smaller one and a shelf was built under it, just to the side of the toilet. With this solution, there is space for extra towels, candles, magazines, or toilet paper.

The original medicine cabinet was reused, and a slender linen cabinet was tucked in between the shower and the door.

Two-inch white hex tiles with gray diamond insets shine on the floor. A gray “sizzle strip” accents the tiles in the shower and matches the insets in the floor.
