Island Kitchen Remodel, Champaign

This Champaign kitchen underwent extensive reconstruction, including the removal of an unnecessary staircase. (The home’s main staircase led to all parts of the upper level.) This made room for a large island and a breakfast nook with lots of natural lighting.

Door casings and base trim were milled to match the trim in the rest of the house. Extra-tall upper cabinets with crown mould give height to the room.

The white bi-fold doors house the new laundry area, moved up from the basement. The new spacious kitchen had plenty of room for a tall pantry cabinet at one end.
